Today I received a new round of Otho Body Butter samples in the mail from our lab and I could not wait to use them. The last round we hit a texture and consistence that I loved, and this round expanded to a few essential oil fragrances added in (aiming for not having the word fragrance on the label, so adding rose oil and vanilla and others which is trickier than just using synthetic fragrance).
I kid you not, my 3 year old daughter was in the bathroom when I put on the new sample and she goes “EWWWW PU what is that smell?!” And then proceeded to run away into another room. Safe to say we need another round on our Rose and Frankincense version.
Try, try again! But the consistency of the tallow and other nourishing ingredients feels like buttercream frosting. Thinking of calling it Body Buttercream. One thing with other tallow balms I have not enjoyed is the application feel and consistency when you scoop it out of the jar onto your skin. They’re either too hard or too greasy or too unpleasant. This feels dreamy, and is exactly what I was looking to create. Can’t wait for you to try it!
