Hi hi,
Currently sitting by the fire while my husband snores on the sofa. Somehow he always falls asleep while I am wide awake with my mind thinking of way too many ideas to action. Why is it that the best ideas happen right when you're trying to fall asleep? This week...
I. Finally got the last of our empty Diptyque jars ready to use as molds for our first Otho 100% Beeswax Refill and I cannot wait. For our first run, our factory needed fourteen jars to use for test molds before we roll out to a larger run. Shipping them out to Texas tomorrow to be used to create some extra special little lights.

II. Oh my goodness. We took all of the candles out of our house a little over a year ago and I honestly was so bummed about it. I love candles. I love scents and the stories and the lights. The box in the garage truly reeks anytime you go near it, but I still am holding on to them because they were expensive to accumulate and I love the memories behind some of them and I wanted to maybe use them again someday. I've been burning 100% pure beeswax candles and ran out the other day, so I decided to break out an old scented one and see if it really made any difference. You guys!! Nauseating is an understatement. I burned an old Anine Bing Savage Rose Candle that was one of my very favorites and my husband walked through the door and instantly asked what the awful smell was. Given it is old, but I do not think that was the problem. After having fragrance out of our house for so long, brining it back in physically felt bad. I could feel the scent going into my sinuses and creating a headache. The air felt thick and heady and yucky. I also lit a mini Diptyque Sapin Candle in our bathroom (I used to light a mini Dipqtyue candle, gifted every Christmas from my grandparents, during my bath at night and it was one of my very favorite routines) and literally had to open the windows to air it out. I had brought the box of minis that used to always live in my closet back as well, and the closet because stifling. My hands even stunk after touching the fragranced boxes and it took a few washes to get the stink off. In the words of my kids favorite Grinch Christmas song line, "stink, stank, stunk!!" I had planned on taking photos of the pretty candles back inside but forgot in my hurry to shove them back in the box outside. So back they are in the garage, but this time I think I'm ready to actually let them go and maybe our garage will even feel a little lighter.
III. Well that one was long, but also had a check in with our potential box supplier and they are such a special company. They've been on the same plot of land since the 1800's and I love that our boxes even will have a touch of heritage rooted in them.
IV. One personal one - made this stuffing bread recipe (I love Boudin's seasonal stuffing bread but they closed the store by us) and it was so yummy! I used my usual Ballerina Farm's sourdough recipe but added in the stuffing ingredients at the step where I usually add salted water. This recipe makes two loaves where the stuffing bread recipe was for one, so thinking if I double the 'toppings' added next time maybe it will get a little closer to Boudin's version. Either way, good enough to make again.

Hope you have a great week!
xx
