Otho Cosmetics started as a note on my phone in college around 2010. I've added ideas to it since then, and in 2019 it became enough of a real concept to pitch to our QVC buyers. I think looking back at where you started, even when there is a long way to go ahead, is encouraging and sentimental and makes you thankful for those first thoughts and ideas.
Behind the scenes content always is fascinating to me, especially when an influencer or founder shows what their every day work life looks like. I remember Amber Fillerup showing one of her Dae marketing decks, and it stuck out to me as one of the most transparent things I'd seen on the internet in a while. I spent hours and so many revisions on this little deck to pitch our candles to QVC back from 2019 to 2020. This is what led to our first purchase order for Otho at QVC (can be seen here!).
